I'm a 3rd generation Coloradoan and I've been exploring this beautiful state from my earliest years. My affinity for wilderness travel and adventure has long preceded my interest in photography. Part athlete and part artist, my goals for most every trip are the same: to challenge my physical limits, to experience the freedom and divine inspiration of the natural world and to capture the emotion, challenge, scale and geography of each adventure in a few dynamic images. The wilderness is a very special place for me and very important for mankind. It is my hope that my photography will inspire you to value and preserve what we still have left.
I use three types of equipment: gear that helps me compose photographs, gear that helps me "digitally develop" photographs and gear that helps me reach photographic locations. I currently shoot with a Canon 5D (12.8 megapixel DSLR) and an arsenal of professional lenses, filers and digital accessories. To reach my photographic destinations, I use several different forms of self-powered travel and a wide variety of technical gear. To view my current camera-related gear, see my
links page.
All of my photos are embedded with digital metadata & color profiles, and are soft-proofed on a color-calibrated monitor. Prior to printing, I inspect all of my digital files to ensure that they are free of imperfections of any kind. Unless instructed otherwise, my photos are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper using industry leading ZBE Chromira printers at a professional lab. I inspect and sign all prints prior to shipping.
I personally guarantee that you will be satisfied with my prints. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied, I will replace the print or refund the cost of the print (see
Prints page for details).
